Glossary
Clear, plain-language definitions of the concepts behind Vora - the customer co-creation and participatory-governance platform.
Customer co-creation
Customer co-creation is the practice of involving customers directly in creating or improving a brand's products, services, or decisions - moving them from passive buyers to active contributors. On Vora, brands run idea challenges and votes so customers co-create what comes next.
Participatory governance
Participatory governance is a decision-making model in which a community's members have a structured, accountable say in the decisions that affect them, rather than decisions being made top-down. Vora enables it with proposals, quorum-based voting, and tamper-proof results.
Idea challenge
An idea challenge is a time-boxed open call inviting a community to submit ideas around a theme, which are then curated and often voted on. It is the core campaign format brands run on Vora to source and prioritize innovation.
Blockchain-verified voting
Blockchain-verified voting records each vote's result on a public blockchain so the outcome is tamper-proof and independently auditable. Vora certifies results on the Base L2 blockchain (chain id 8453) via an on-chain audit log.
Prosumer
A prosumer is a customer who is simultaneously a producer - someone who helps create or shape the products they consume. Vora's co-creation tools turn audiences into prosumers by letting them propose, refine, and vote on what a brand makes.
Customer governance
Customer governance is the discipline of giving customers a formal, ongoing role in a brand's decisions - a standing voice rather than a one-off survey. Vora operationalizes it with recurring votes, idea challenges, and verifiable results.
Quorum
A quorum is the minimum level of participation a vote must reach for its result to count. On Vora, organizers set a quorum so decisions are only binding when enough of the community takes part.
Quadratic voting
Quadratic voting is a method where the cost of additional votes on one option rises quadratically, letting people express how strongly they feel while limiting the power of any single voter. It is one of the voting strategies available on Vora.
